HGP has had a long history of initiating early stage development on a number of renewable energy project development and real estate projects. This practice area draws from HGP's other practice areas and covers site selection, economic modeling, risk and fatal flaw analysis, permitting, energy and labor cost surveys, local community outreach programs, site survey and acquisition, project development plan development, pre-qualification of architects, engineers and construction firms, and execution and monitoring.
HGP takes great strides not to have conflicts with our large client base and has historically "sold-out" all of our renewable energy project development (wind, combined cycle, biomass, waste energy, solar, geothermal, hydro, and nuclear sites). Our real estate efforts center on both procuring office complexes and corporate locations with access to highly skilled workers, transportation, and markets, and providing our clients with a good fit with local communities and centers of education that will create long-term "Win-Win" relationships.
For wind measurement and analysis, HGP has also acquired and put in the field a complete miniSoDAR system (DC powered), manufactured by Atmospheric Systems Corp (ASC). The miniSODAR is a high-frequency Doppler sodar system that was designed to measure the atmospheric wind profile from 15 meters to 150/200 meters (data is often available to 250 meters) in 5-meter increments.
